Vodafone Mobile Connect
Vodafone Mobile Connect is a popular worldwide mobile Internet service, also available to Lithuanian customers. This mobile Internet is characterised by exceptionally fast data transfer and flexible rate plans.
With mobile Internet you can enjoy fast data transfer at any time and place – in your office, at home, during trips or even outside Lithuania.
Why is it useful?
Upon ordering Vodafone Mobile Connect you can anytime and anywhere:
- browse the Internet;
- send and receive e-mails when out of the office or away from home;
- access documents on your company’s computers;
- you can use 1.4 Mbps HSUPA technology for uploading. The average speed-rate in the 3G (UMTS) coverage area is 2.8Mb/s for downloading and around 1Mb/s for uploading;
- choose the payment plan which suits you best.
How to use it?
Vodafone Mobile Connect is designed for using mobile Internet on your computer. If your notebook doesn’t have an integrated modem, you’ll need one of these additional devices:
- Vodafone Mobile Connect modem: an all-purpose modem with USB link and an Express (PCMCIA) modem, which almost entirely hides in the computer, or a HotSpot modem, which enables you to connect more than one computer to the web simultaneously;
- a mobile handset which supports data transmission over HSUPA/HSDPA/3G/EDGE/GPRS (instructions for connecting a mobile handset to a computer are available here).
With Vodafone Mobile Connect you can also browse the Internet or check your e-mails directly on your telephone if you order Vodafone Mobile Connect as an add-on voice service to your rate plan.
How to order?
In order to obtain the service for a monthly fee, sign the Vodafone Mobile Connect service agreement with BITĖ.
If you would like to use the service for a one-time fee, order Vodafone Mobile Connect mobile internet by sending an SMS using short number 1500, including the text specified in the table next to prices.
The service can be ordered in any BITĖ outlet.
Calls to BITĖ’S offer line number 19200 are charged at the rates set by your operator (free for BITĖ customers, 0.39 Lt/min for Tele2 customers and 1 Lt per call for Omnitel customers).

Additional services

Unlimited nights, the service providing unlimited Internet at night 24:00-08:00. The regular price for the service is 8.26 Lt/month.
Note: Subscribing for Unlimited Nights service together with Data Transfer Control and after exceeding the available monthly amount of data (12 GB with STANDARD and 50 GB with BIURAS rate plan) in the last 30 days, you can continue sending the unlimited amount of data over the Internet in Lithuania during the night hours, but at lower speed-rate (up to 256 Kbps). - Static IP, service offering an Internet connection with the same IP address. Monthly service charge is 3 Lt.
- Data Transmission Control, customers of "Standard" and "Biuras" plans subscribing for this service will not be charged for extra data transferred, but after they have used up the available monthly data amount of 12 GB (STANDARD) and 50 GB (Biuras) in the last 30 days, BITĖ will limit their data speed-rate up to maximum 256 Kbps. For customers who choose this service it will be activated in 24 hours.
Services are available to existing and new VMC customers.

Additional information
- If the data limit specified in the rate plan is exceeded, additional data megabits will be charged at a rate of 0.008 lt/MB (VAT exclusive).
- If you are not subscribed to a monthly or single-charged mobile Internet plan, 1 MB of transmitted data will be charged at the rates indicated in the rate plan for voice services.
- You can check the amount of the data send during this month in the mobile internet selfcare http://manovmc.bite.lt.
- Prices and limits on the data amount indicated in the rate plans are valid only for data transfer in Lithuania. When using mobile Internet abroad, there’s an additional charge for transmitted data.
- All prices are indicated in litas, VAT exclusive.
- Use of HSUPA/HSDPA/3G/EDGE/GPRS abroad is subject to an extra charge according to the standard rates for using HSUPA/HSDPA/3G/EDGE/GPRS abroad.
- Data transmission speed depends on network data communication technology available in your location, i.e. HSUPA/HSDPA/3G/EDGE/GPRS, and on the data transmission device you are using.
- When sending and receiving data over 3G/HSDPA, EDGE or GPRS, the system adds supporting information to data packages, which helps to determine the destination of data and control meters that ensure the transmission of all information. Therefore, when sending, for instance, a 150 KB file, the amount of transmitted data will be a bit larger.
- When ordering Vodafone Mobile Connect by SMS, connection to the Internet must be realised via the access point (APN) BANGA.
